Absolute Beginners Classes

At our two venues in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, we are renowned for teaching even the most uncoordinated dancers to move confidently on the dance floor.

We begin with the basics, and before long, you’ll be dancing styles like the Modern Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, and Tango, as well as Latin dances such as the Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, and Paso Doble.

Additionally, you’ll learn popular sequence dances including the Mayfair Quickstep, Balmoral Blues, Melody Foxtrot, and Square Tango, as well as Mambos and Salsas.

Intermediate and Advanced

Think you have what it takes to be a dancer? We can help you improve. In these classes, we teach more complex technical routines as well as the latest sequence dances.

Each year, about 40 new sequence dances are created. While some become favourites and others fade away, we select and teach the ones we believe will become popular with our students.

Private Tuition

Not everyone can learn in a class environment with a lot of couples on the floor at once and taking this into account we also offer private tuition to anyone who requires.  

Whether you are just starting out or have aspirations to compete in open or medallist competitions we can help.

With our many years of high level dance competition experience we can turn your dancing Dis-as-ters into something Fab-u-lous.  

It’s not going to happen overnight but if you stick at it we are confident that the results will come.

We are fully qualified dance teachers up to Licentiate level in Modern Ballroom and Associates in Latin American and Classical Sequence and members of the UKA.

Wedding Dance: Personalised Choreography for Your Special Day

Do you want a special dance for one of the most important days of your life? Yes, your wedding day.

How often have you been to weddings where the couple simply shuffles around to some obscure song?

We can change that. Your first dance as a married couple should be a memorable and special moment.

Using your chosen music, we will choreograph a dance routine that matches your ability and style, ensuring it feels comfortable and relaxed while surprising and delighting your guests.

All wedding dances are taught through private lessons, typically consisting of one-hour sessions.

To perfect your routine and feel comfortable performing it, we recommend starting lessons well in advance of your big day. This allows ample time to learn and practice the routine thoroughly.

While some instructors may offer “last minute” lessons, in our experience, this approach often leads to unnecessary stress and anxiety, as couples worry about remembering the routine on their wedding day.

We offer couples the flexibility of purchasing a package of lessons or paying for individual hourly sessions until they are confident with the routine. Same-sex couples are welcome.
